Abstract

This research examines the effect of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices on environmental performance in Pakistan's healthcare (Teaching hospitals) sector. By analyzing the link between GHRM practices and employee involvement, the study aims to enhance the understanding of how organizations can boost sustainability.

Findings indicate a positive relationship between GHRM practices and environmental performance, suggesting that effective green HR initiatives can significantly improve environmental impact. Additionally, employee involvement practices are positively correlated with environmental performance, highlighting the importance of cultivating environmental responsibility within the healthcare sector.

Implications for healthcare organizations include the need to invest in GHRM practices, provide environmental sustainability training to employees, and set clear environmental objectives with accountability measures. Adopting these strategies can enable healthcare institutions to significantly promote environmental sustainability and reduce their ecological footprint.
