Avicenna Journal of Medical Sciences (AJMS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to the publication and dissemination of high-quality research across the basic, clinical, translational, and applied health sciences.
AJMS is an official journal of the Avicenna Medical & Research Initiative (AMRI) and provides an academic platform for researchers, clinicians, educators, healthcare professionals, and early-career investigators to communicate scientific evidence relevant to healthcare practice, education, research, and policy.
The journal is committed to promoting scientific integrity, evidence-based practice, translational research, research capacity development, and scholarly collaboration. Peer Review and Editorial Assessment
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment for scope, originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, methodological appropriateness, and adherence to journal requirements.
Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation are normally subjected to double-anonymized peer review by appropriately qualified reviewers. Final publication decisions remain the responsibility of the Editorial Board.
Submitted manuscripts must represent original work and must not be simultaneously submitted to or under consideration by another journal.
Publication Frequency
Avicenna Journal of Medical Sciences is published twice annually (biannually).
Special issues, supplements, or additional scholarly content may be published when approved by the Editorial Board.
